Job description
Labor Relations Responsibilities

Manage the full spectrum of IR/ER matters including disciplinary actions, grievances, counseling, disputes, and termination/dismissals.

Conduct investigations, issue show cause letters, and coordinate Domestic Inquiry (DI) sessions.

Advise supervisors and employees on disciplinary procedures, labor laws, and company policies.

Prepare documentation for Labour Department, IR Department, and Industrial Court cases.

Maintain accurate records of all IR/ER cases and proceedings.

Performance Management Responsibilities

Support the design and implementation of performance management frameworks (e.g., KPIs) for workshop and technical teams.

Coordinate the performance cycle: goal setting, mid-year reviews, annual appraisals, calibration sessions.

Guide managers in setting measurable performance goals aligned with operational needs.

Identify performance trends, high-potential staff, and underperformers for PIP interventions.

Assist in developing and tracking Individual Development Plans (IDPs).

Analyze performance data for insights on promotions, training needs, and workforce planning.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or related field.

3–5 years of experience in IR and/or Performance Management.

Strong understanding of Malaysian labour laws.

Experience in investigations, DIs, and disciplinary procedures.

Familiarity with KPIs, OKRs, and PIPs.

Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office; HRIS/HRMS experience is an advantage.

Willing to travel to workshop sites when required.

Mandarin language ability (Required) to liaise with Mandarin speaking counterparts.
