Responsibilities

• Develop and implement leasing strategies that maximize occupancy, rental income, and tenant mix within the shopping mall.
• Review tenant's sales performance and identify non-performing tenants to provide countermeasures.
• Identify new leasable areas such as shops and kiosks to achieve optimum rental revenue.
• Work closely with appointed retail consultants to strategize lease plans.
• Monitor tenant's sales performance and drive the team on tenancy renewal negotiations.
• Attend to real estate agents' enquiries and identify potential tenants.
• Manage leasing and tenancy admin division ensuring timely processing of leasing documentation.
• Prepare and review leasing department's report on a weekly and monthly basis.

Our client is a big conglomerate with five primary sectors of the Malaysian economy, namely plantation, property & industrial, pharmaceutical, heavy industries, and trading, finance & investment. In line with business plans, their Leasing - Properties Management & Investment department is hiring Head of Leasing to develop and implement leasing strategies that maximize occupancy, rental income, and tenant mix within the shopping mall.

Extensive experience in retail leasing, real estate management, or similar role, preferably within a shopping mall or commercial property environment.

To review tenant's sales performance and identify non-performing tenants to provide counter measures.

To identify new leasable areas including shops, kiosk, and other related casual leasing to achieve optimum rental revenue.

To work closely with appointed retail consultants and strategize lease plans as part of asset enhancement initiative (AEI).

To monitor tenant's sales performance and drive the team on tenancy renewal negotiations to achieve targeted rental returns.

To attend to real estate agents' enquiries and identify potential tenants in accordance with leasing plans.

To manage leasing and tenancy admin division to ensure timely preparation and processing of all leasing-related documentation.

To prepare/review leasing department's report and all other leasing related reports on weekly and monthly basis for submission to top management.

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Marketing, or a related field.

Extensive experience in retail leasing, real estate management, or similar role, preferably within a shopping mall or commercial property environment.

Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
