Candidates should have a master's degree in Finance and significant experience in fintech or financial services. This position offers a competitive compensation package, significant international exposure, and a clear pathway to a future Group CFO role.

We currently hold regulatory licenses in Australia, Hong Kong and Thailand with additional licenses across Asia in progress.
In 2025, DSGPay is establishing a new operations and leadership hub in Kuala Lumpur, which will become a cornerstone of our global expansion.
The Global Head of Finance will lead the strategic and operational finance function across all DSGPay entities and jurisdictions. This role is responsible for financial strategy, internal and external reporting, budgeting, forecasting, tax, regulatory submissions, and financial controls.
You will oversee the general ledger, journals, financial statements, reconciliations (customer and bank), and ensure timely delivery of all internal SLA-driven outputs and external regulatory requirements.
A key priority is to build and scale a new finance team in Kuala Lumpur, while also managing the existing team in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The role will also engage closely with external auditors, tax advisors, regulators, and banking partners.
For the right candidate, this role provides a clear development pathway to a future CFO position.

Define a 3–5 year “future-state” finance vision that supports DSGPay’s rapid growth.
Establish scalable processes and systems suitable for a multi-entity, multi-currency, high-volume payments business.
Build a robust financial management framework covering budgeting, forecasting, reporting, treasury management, reconciliations, and internal controls.
Strengthen financial governance and group-wide standardisation.
3. Reporting, Compliance & Audit
Oversee timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements across all jurisdictions.
Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, audits, tax filings, and financial regulatory obligations for licensed entities.
4. Business Performance & MIS
Design and implement a data-driven MIS framework that delivers actionable insights to management.
Drive performance monitoring, margin analysis, cash-flow forecasting, and scenario modelling.
Identify financial and operational risks and implement mitigation strategies aligned with regulatory expectations and internal risk appetite.
Build and scale a high-performing finance team in Kuala Lumpur.
Coach, mentor, and manage the Chiang Mai finance operations team.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence.
7. Stakeholder & External Engagement
Act as DSGPay’s senior finance representative with regulators, auditors, banking partners, and external advisors.
Support the CEO and Group Executive team on funding, strategy, and investor-related matters.
Leadership & Experience
Proven experience leading and scaling high-performing finance teams in a multi-jurisdiction environment.
Demonstrated success operating in a fintech, payments, or financial services organisation (strongly preferred).
Ability to build new teams and manage cross-border finance operations.
Technical Expertise
Strong financial accounting background with hands‑on experience managing general ledger, reconciliations, journals, financial statements, and tax.
Deep experience designing financial processes to support high-volume, multi-currency, multi-entity operations.
Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, financial modelling, and MIS reporting.
Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge
Solid understanding of regulatory finance requirements across at least some of the markets we operate in (APAC region experience strongly preferred).
Experience working with external auditors, regulators, and tax authorities.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business; CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification required.
Languages
Additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia/Indonesia, Thai) are an advantage.
A very competitive compensation package and the opportunity to influence and design future group-wide compensation frameworks (including ESOP programmes).
A leadership role in a well-established, fast-growing global fintech with significant international exposure.
The mandate to build and grow the Kuala Lumpur hub and lead a global finance function.
A flexible, modern, and collaborative working environment with a forward-thinking management team.
A pathway to a future Group CFO role based on performance.
