Job summary

A local outdoor adventures company is seeking a Freelance Trip Leader to guide youth on outdoor adventures such as hiking, kayaking, and snorkeling. You will be responsible for facilitating activities, ensuring safety, and mentoring participants aged 8-17. Previous experience with youth and strong communication skills are essential. This role requires physical fitness and a willingness to undergo training. The position offers RM300 to RM400 per day, with onboarding taking place in January 2026.

Responsibilities:

Main responsibility: Facilitate and play team-building games with students.

Lead and supervise youth groups during the trips, engaging them in activities like hiking, kayaking, snorkeling, and camping.

Collaborate with team members to ensure safe and enjoyable experiences.

Conduct briefings, handle logistics, and manage any issues during the trip.

Promote teamwork, environmental awareness, and personal growth among participants.

Requirements:

Experience: Previous experience working with youth or leading outdoor trips.

Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.

Safety: Willingness to undergo safeguarding training and police checks.

Certifications (Preferred): First Aid, Wilderness First Aid, Lifeguard, or relevant outdoor certifications.

Physical Fitness: Able to swim and participate in physical activities.
