Job description

Regional Travel: Enjoy quarterly all-expenses-paid work trips to Singapore (Flight, Hotel & Meal Allowance).

Direct Partnership: Work directly with Head Management and Business Owners—your voice actually matters here.

Build Your Own Team: You have the autonomy to hire and mentor your own squad of 1–3 Finance Executives.

Modern Culture: High autonomy and a focus on output over hours. No corporate red tape.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Regional Finance Manager to act as the financial "GPS" for our growing portfolio of 3 Singapore companies and 1 Malaysia entity. You won't be stuck doing manual data entry; you will lead a nimble team of executives who handle the "grunt work," allowing you to focus on high-level strategy and regional growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Oversight: Review and guide monthly management reports and group consolidation for our MY and SG entities.
  • Regional Compliance: Oversee SST/LHDN (Malaysia) and GST/IRAS (Singapore) filings with the support of your team.
  • Performance Insights: Analyze GP Margins and Debtor Ratios to provide actionable advice to the owners.
  • Cash Flow Leadership: Manage regional liquidity and monitor FX risks between MYR and SGD.
  • Team Mentorship: Lead, develop, and hire key members for your finance department as we scale.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Possesses a Degree in Accounting/Finance or professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, or MIA is preferred).
  • Has 5–8 years of experience, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership/managerial role.
  • Experience with Singapore reporting/GST is a major advantage.
  • Independent, proactive, and looking for a "leadership" role rather than a "reporting" role.
Other Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely closing of accounts.
  • Maintain compliance with MFRS and regulatory requirements (e.g. LHDN, SSM, SST).
  • Lead annual budget planning and forecasting processes.
  • Monitor financial performance vs. budget, highlight variances and risks.
  • Implement and improve internal controls and financial procedures.
  • Ensure statutory filings (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, SST, income tax) are submitted on time.
  • Manage company’s cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships.
  • Oversee payments, collections, and financial risk management.
  • Provide financial insights to the management team for decision-making.
  • Support business expansion, cost control, and investment analysis.
  • Supervise and develop the finance/accounting team.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies.
Other Requirements
  • Proficient in accounting software (SQL, Xero, SAP, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian and Singapore financial regulations and tax laws.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
