Job description
Finance Executive / Senior Finance Executive

The Finance Executive / Senior Finance Executive supports and manages the day-to-day financial operations of the Company, ensuring accurate reporting, effective internal controls, and timely compliance with statutory requirements. Depending on seniority, the role may include supervising junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements

Assist Finance Manager / CFO in the preparation of timely reports for management and stakeholders.

Support budgetary reporting, including variance analysis on quarterly basis.

Review and prepare reconciliation of sub-ledgers to general ledgers to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Maintain proper general ledger records in accordance with MFRS accounting standards, tax laws, and company policies.

Conduct month-end closing activities including journal entries, accruals, depreciation, and reconciliations.

B. Supervisory & Operational Responsibilities

Supervise subordinate staff in the day-to-day financial functions of the company, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to SOPs.

Review daily transactions processed by junior team members

C. Accounts Payable (AP) & Accounts Receivable (AR)

Review and process supplier invoices, claims, utilities, and payment runs.

Verify supplier, contractor, and consultant payments against supporting documents and approvals.

Assist with project financing matters, progress payments, etc.

D. Cash Flow & Treasury Management

Prepare and ensure bank reconciliations are completed on a timely basis for all accounts.

Assist in cash flow monitoring, fund transfers, and banking documentation.

E. Compliance

Assist Finance Manager / CFO in ensuring compliance with internal controls, company policies, statutory requirements, and tax regulations.

Liaise with external auditors and tax agents to ensure adherence to accounting standards and tax laws.

Requirements

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification.

Experience requirement:

Executive: Minimum 2 – 3 years

Senior Executive: 4 – 6+ years, preferably with experience in property development, property management, or audit.

Strong knowledge of accounting standards (MFRS) and Malaysian tax regulations.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems

Detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of meeting deadlines.

Good communication skills and able to work independently and as part of a team.
