Job summary

A leading manufacturing company located in Kulai, Malaysia, is seeking an experienced electrical maintenance technician. Responsibilities include planning and scheduling maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, training team members, and managing equipment documentation. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 - 5 years of relevant working experience in electrical maintenance and a commitment to maintaining high safety and operational standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and follow up on all electrical maintenance activities.
• Ensure daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly preventive maintenance tasks are carried out efficiently and on schedule.
• Enforce proper work procedures, safety standards, and compliance with company policies.
• Establish, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) for maintenance works.
• Train, guide, and supervise team members to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
• Manage machine software, electrical systems, and related technical documentation.
• Ensure all machinery and electrical equipment are maintained in safe and proper working condition.
• Complete, review, and maintain accurate maintenance records, forms, and checklists.
• Manage spare parts inventory, including monitoring usage and conducting periodic stock checks.
• Support the installation, commissioning, and test runs of new machinery or equipment.
• Assist in machinery relocation, including electrical disconnection and reinstallation.
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors and prepare or raise purchase requisitions/orders.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors for electrical works to ensure quality and safety compliance.
• Perform any other electrical or maintenance-related duties as assigned by the Manager.
