Job summary

A leading financial institution in Malaysia is seeking a Credit Manager for Auto Finance. You will evaluate loan applications and ensure adherence to credit policies while managing risk. The ideal candidate should have a recognized degree and at least 5 years of credit experience, along with strong knowledge of credit risk management principles. This role is full-time, with a comprehensive approach to improving asset quality and efficiency within the team.

Qualifications

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • To perform evaluation and credit decisions in respect of loan applications received from AFC is in line with the Bank’s Credit Policy and Guidelines/Business Rules.
  • To ensure timely credit decision and maintain high standard level of asset quality of the customers within credit risk appetite of the bank.
  • To ensure the credit decisions are made within personal to holder of the granted delegated authority and to prudently exercise the over-riding of the exception cases.
  • To improve efficiency and effectiveness of RCRM-Auto continuously in providing services to AFC in order to meet the standard imposed by the Bank.
  • Review and assess appeal cases, customer’s request for change in credit terms, e.g. loan amount, interest rate, period of loan, etc.
  • Continuously educate and monitor AFC’s performances and underwriting skills.
  • To ensure knowledge and skills are competent through training as well as participation and staff engagement in the department / Bank as a whole.
  • To conduct Quality Assurance for Straight Through Process and Quality Approval for cases approved by AFC.
  • To support ACS CR, UAT, Production defects and resolution.
  • Assist in revision of credit guidelines, SOP and monthly reports.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as and when requested by superior
Job Requirements
  • Recognized Degree/ Masters in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or banking related disciplines. Preferably with CCP IBBM / CCE AICB qualification
  • Preferably experienced in Credit or Audit
  • Credit experience of minimum 5 years
