Job Purpose

To prepare accurate cost estimations for self-climbing platform systems used in high-rise construction projects. The role involves analysing project requirements, material take-offs, labour costs, and vendor quotations to support competitive and profitable project bids.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for self-climbing platforms based on project drawings and specifications.
  • Analyse labour, material, and equipment requirements and apply standard costing methods.
  • Coordinate with design and engineering teams to understand technical aspects of climbing platform systems.
  • Monitor and update unit costs regularly based on market trends and historical project data.
  • Assist in preparing costing breakdown and presentations for clients.
  • Identify and highlight potential cost risks and value engineering opportunities.
  • Collaborate with procurement, design, and project execution teams to align cost estimates with actual implementation.
  • Support post-project cost reconciliation and lessons learned exercises.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveyor or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in cost estimation or costing roles within construction/formwork/climbing platform industry.
  • Knowledge of self-climbing platforms and their components is essential.
  • Proficiency in reading drawings through AutoCAD, MS Excel etc.
