Job description

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Cost Accounting functions and Inventory Accounting.
• Perform monthly Costing closing activities.
• Involvement in standard costs setup and standard costs revision, which include but not limited to gathering, analysis and summarising cost data such as parts, labour and overhead related data.
• Responsible for monthly costs allocation and calculation and ensuring accurate inventory valuation.
• Analyse cost and recommend cost savings.
• High involvement in budget/forecast preparation.
• Collaborate with operation on costing related matters.
• Prepare and complete internal and external cost audits.
• Analyse any changes in goods produced to determine what the cost effect it.
• Analyse manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
• Make estimates of new and proposed product costs.
• Conduct physical inventories and monitor the cycle count program.
• Ensure deadlines of submission of budget and month end close are always met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, or related field. CIMA finalists/students will be highly advantageous.
• 3-4 years of Cost Accounting and Budgeting work experiences is essential.
• Strong understanding of underlying Costing principles and techniques.
• Solid cost and budgeting systems background.
• Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent report-writing, communication, and Excel skills.
• Proficiency in reading and writing Mandarin is a must.
