Job summary

A construction company in Malaysia is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to oversee project contracts and manage budgets. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in construction projects and strong knowledge of Malaysian construction contracts. Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in cost control. This role involves the administration of contracts and coordination with project teams and clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian construction contracts.
• Registered with BQSM / RISM is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Administer construction contracts (PAM, JKR, FIDIC).
• Manage project budgets, costs, and cash flow.
• Prepare and evaluate progress claims, variations, and final accounts.
• Handle contract claims, EOT, and loss & expense.
• Manage procurement and subcontract agreements.
• Monitor cost performance and report to management.
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and clients.
