Job description
Why Coda

Coda is a global growth engine for commerce. We bring together powerful capabilities that connect people, digital products, and payments through our suite of trusted digital monetization and distribution solutions.

We recently acquired Recharge, Europe’s leading prepaid payments and digital gift card business, bringing both companies together into one organisation with broader reach, deeper capabilities across B2B and B2C commerce and a stronger global footprint.

Today, we stand as a team of more than 600 people, representing 57 nationalities across 23 locations. We are headquartered in Singapore with offices in Amsterdam, Dubai, Shanghai and other hubs across Southeast Asia.

Our B2B business works with publishers and brands to support growth across markets. We run Codapay for local payment acceptance and Custom Commerce for direct-to-consumer webstores. We manage catalogue, prepaid and distribution services that extend reach globally, and we operate Giftcloud’s rewards and incentives capabilities. We take on the operational complexity around payments, tax and compliance so partners can scale with clarity and focus.

On the consumer side, we operate a portfolio of trusted storefronts including Codashop, Recharge.com , Startselect.com , mobiletopup.co.uk and other local sites that give customers secure and easy access to digital credit, game vouchers, gift cards and prepaid products.

Our people are at the heart of what we do. Coda’s culture is centered on respect, clarity, ownership, and collaboration. We work hard and play hard together.

If you’re looking for growth and impact in a fast-paced global team, Coda is the place for you.

We are seeking a highly motivated Commercial Operations Associate to join our team in Malaysia. In this entry-level role, you will support various commercial and sales operations functions to ensure smooth business processes and excellent service delivery. You will work closely with multiple departments to coordinate day-to-day operations, assist with data management and reporting, and help drive process improvements. This position offers a great opportunity for a proactive self-starter to learn on the job and grow in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Commercial Operations Support: Respond to internal tickets and requests related to commercial operations—such as enabling payment channels, configuring publisher access, or updating operational settings—ensuring timely and accurate execution of daily workflows.
  • Publisher Communications: Prepare and send bulk email communications to publishers to announce important updates such as new payment channel launches, pauses, reactivations, tax or regulatory changes, and other key announcements from Coda.
  • Customer Inquiry Management: Manage basic inbound customer inquiries where standard operating procedures (SOPs) exist, and elevate complex or edge cases to the appropriate internal teams or stakeholders for resolution.
  • CRM & Data Maintenance: Maintain and update operational datasets (primarily via Google Sheets) to reflect changes in publisher or commercial data, ensuring accuracy and consistency to support seamless sales operations.
  • HubSpot Management: Oversee day-to-day CRM activities within HubSpot, including creating and refining workflows, generating performance or pipeline reports, and ensuring strong data hygiene and system consistency across records and teams.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Generate regular financial and operational reports for commercial leadership, using data to identify trends, monitor performance, and surface opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
  • Operational Experience: 1–3 years in commercial operations, sales operations, revenue operations, or similar support roles, with strong process execution skills.
  • Communication Skills: Able to draft clear, professional external communications, including bulk email updates to publishers.
  • Customer Inquiry Handling: Comfortable managing basic customer inquiries via SOPs and escalating complex cases appropriately.
  • Data & CRM Proficiency: Strong attention to detail in maintaining datasets (Google Sheets) and hands‑on experience managing CRM workflows and data hygiene (HubSpot preferred).
  • Reporting & Analysis: Ability to generate financial and operational reports, interpret data trends, and surface insights for commercial leadership.
  • Organization & Collaboration: Strong prioritization, time management, and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
