Commercial Lead Rail

Location: South West England; Region: Wiltshire. Salary: up to £100k + package. Role: Commercial Lead Rail.

Are you an experienced Commercial Manager with a history of delivering Rail and Civils Construction projects in challenging and restricted environments? Are you looking for an opportunity to join a rapidly expanding division within a reputable Contractor with excellent progression prospects? Then this role within a world-class, award-winning, Tier 1 contractor could be for you.

We are looking for an exceptional Commercial Manager with solid Rail and/or Civils experience to be an integral part of a successful long-term delivery team. The candidate must have a proven track record of delivering projects from £30m to £40m+.

The position requires working knowledge of the Rail industry, with experience delivering to NEC 3/4 style contracts and a demonstrable understanding of working on a Network Rail Framework. Flexibility and willingness to travel to multiple sites across the UK is essential.

Responsibilities

• Commercial Lead for the project
• Provide support and advice to commercial and project management teams
• Manage financial functions including
• Cost management of project
• Forecast cost to completion
• Management of CV systems
• Financial reporting
• Liaise with client and stakeholders on all commercial matters
• Management of change control

Qualifications

• Degree qualified, ideally RICS or ICES member
• Experience in using major forms of contract including NEC
• Senior Commercial leadership of Rail/Civil Engineering projects
• A strong appreciation of the Rail sector, ideally from direct project experience
• Ability to demonstrate claims production, negotiation and adjudication knowledge
• Extensive working knowledge of commercial processes, including contract analysis and risk management
