Role Overview
We are seeking a commercially driven Brand Manager – Beauty & Skincare to lead the growth, positioning, and day‑to‑day management of a natural skincare brand within the Group’s portfolio. Reporting to the Group General Manager, this role carries end‑to‑end responsibility for brand strategy, commercial performance and execution across marketing, sales and retail operations. This hands‑on role is suited for a brand manager who enjoys building brand relevance, strengthening market presence and driving commercial results in a developing beauty brand environment supported by an established retail group.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Marketing
- Develop and execute the brand’s strategic roadmap and annual business plan to drive sustainable growth and market relevance.
- Manage overall brand performance, ensuring alignment with commercial targets, brand positioning and approved budgets.
- Conduct market research and consumer analysis to identify trends, opportunities and competitive insights, translating findings into actionable initiatives.
- Plan and implement integrated marketing initiatives across advertising, PR, promotions, campaigns and in‑store activations.
- Safeguard and strengthen brand equity through consistent brand communication and effective relationship management with brand principals and internal stakeholders.
- Lead the ideation, development and execution of marketing assets and campaigns, ensuring consistency with brand values and objectives.
- Track and evaluate marketing effectiveness, refining strategies to optimise ROI and brand impact.
- Prepare and present key performance indicators, insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Drive sales growth by setting targets and implementing commercially sound strategies across retail channels.
- Analyse sales performance and consumer behaviour to optimise product mix, pricing and promotional strategies.
- Manage stock levels and sell‑through performance to ensure healthy inventory turnover.
- Develop and manage Open‑To‑Buy (OTB) plans based on historical performance and forward‑looking projections.
- Lead buying and purchasing strategies aligned with brand direction, market demand and budgetary controls.
- Execute purchasing decisions in a timely and disciplined manner within approved OTB budgets.
Retail & Operations Oversight (Interim)
- Oversee the interim management of up to three retail locations, ensuring smooth daily operations, effective execution of promotions and consistent customer experience.
- Coordinate deliveries, stock movements and retail communications to ensure operational efficiency.
- Ensure proper administrative controls are in place for inventory management, reporting and compliance.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all stock transactions and movements.
- Conduct stock take exercises and ensure appropriate security and loss‑prevention measures are upheld.
- Manage people‑related matters at store level, including recruitment, transfers, placements, performance management and disciplinary processes in collaboration with HR.
- Ensure retail teams are equipped through structured training in product knowledge, brand standards and customer service excellence.
