Role Purpose

The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports daily restaurant operations with a hands-on, floor-first leadership approach, ensuring service excellence, SOP compliance, and team discipline in a premium Japanese yakiniku environment.

This role requires high integrity, professionalism, and respect for hierarchy.

Key Responsibilities
Operations & Floor Leadership
  • Lead daily floor operations during service hours
  • Ensure service flow, guest experience, and service timing standards
  • Handle reservations, guest requests, and service recovery professionally
  • Maintain dining room discipline and staff presentation
Team Management
  • Supervise and guide service team during shifts
  • Ensure punctuality, grooming, and SOP adherence
  • Support onboarding and daily coaching of staff
  • Report performance issues or misconduct promptly to management
Service Standards & Compliance
  • Enforce SOPs, house rules, and service protocols strictly
  • Ensure zero alcohol consumption by staff during work hours
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and professional workplace
Reporting & Communication
  • Submit daily service reports and incident updates
  • Escalate operational or people issues accurately and timely
  • Follow management instructions without distortion or misinformation
