A construction and design firm based in Malaysia is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to oversee interior renovation projects. This role involves planning, coordinating with various stakeholders, and addressing site challenges. The ideal candidate should possess a Diploma in a relevant field and have at least 4 years of commercial retail and mall management experience. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is a must, and knowledge of Mandarin is advantageous. Willingness to travel outstation is required.
Assist in planning, scheduling, and executing interior fit-out projects from concept to handover.
Coordinate with designers, site supervisors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
Monitor project timelines, material orders, site progress, and documentation.
Support in resolving site issues, design changes, and project-related challenges promptly.
Act as a secondary point of contact for clients, providing updates and addressing inquiries.
Assist in preparing proposals, reports, project briefs, and presentations.
Support day-to-day office operations, procurement activities, and vendor management.
Ensure project documentation, contracts, and costing sheets are accurate and up to date.
Help maintain project budgets and track expenses.
Assist the Project Manager in overseeing team workloads, deadlines, and workflow efficiency.
Support onboarding and coordination with new hires, external partners, and subcontractors.
Help promote a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent.
Candidate have to able to read drawings, such as floorplan
Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia and ability to communicate in Mandarin is an added advantage.
Candidates with at least 4 years commercial retail and mall management experience will be added advantage.
Good team player with strong commitment and self-motivated.
Proven ability to prioritize in order to meet deadlines and provide high-quality service to clients.
Willing to travel outstation.
Responsible to reply and problem solving at weekend ifanyemergency.
