A financial services firm is seeking an accounting assistant in Kuala Lumpur. The role involves preparing financial statements, processing payments, and maintaining accounting records. Candidates should have a diploma in Accounting and at least 2 years of relevant experience in finance. Strong knowledge of internal controls and compliance is essential. Assist in closing of accounts and preparation of monthly accounts and financial statements.
Handle full cycle of payment processing.
Carry out bank and/other reconciliations.
Ensure application and compliance of internal controls and operating procedures.
Handle day-to-day data entries and maintain proper accounting records.
Handle administrative matters of the Department.
Filing of documents in accordance with proper filing indexes.
Assist in audit, taxation and banking matters.
To carry out any other ad hoc assignments as and when instructed by your superior from time to time.
Job Requirements :
Diploma in Accounting or equivalent qualification
Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in finance and accounting
