What you will experience in this position

Supervise and ensure compliance with customs and foreign trade operations applicable to the company's import and export activities, guaranteeing the correct implementation of programs such as IMMEX, OEA, PROSEC, and VAT-IEPS certifications, as well as preventing legal and operational risks related to the handling of goods at the border.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customs Process Supervision: Coordinate and optimize import and export operations.
  • Ensure compliance with current regulations (SAT, Customs Law, international treaties).
  • Verify that procedures are carried out in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Team Management: Assign tasks to operational staff. Supervise performance and train the team on procedures and regulations.
  • Documentary and Operational Control: Validate customs declarations, invoices, certificates of origin, and other required documents. Coordinate physical and documentary inspections of goods. Maintain accurate control of records and files associated with importing and exporting activities.
  • Interdepartmental Interaction: Collaborate with departments such as logistics, materials, manufacturing, and operations.
  • Monitoring of KPIS: Develop metrics related to clearance times, document accuracy, and operational efficiency. Implement continuous improvements in processes.
  • Technology and Systems: Manage platforms such as VUCEM, SAAI, and inventory control systems for manufacturing and Annex 24 to track operations. Ensure digital traceability of operations.
You have
  • Bachelor's degree in foreign Trade, International Business, Customs Law, or a related field.
  • +5 years of experience in customs compliance within maquiladora or manufacturing company.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Customs Law, General Rules of Foreign Trade, Free Trade Agreements, and OEA, CTPAT, CIVA, IMMEX y PROSEC programs.
  • Proficient in systems such as VUCEM, SAT, CARTAS PORTE, among others.
  • Mastery in the management and tracking of ANEXO 24 operations.
  • +3 years of experience in personnel management.
  • Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
