Busy solo immigration attorney has an opening for a bilingual immigration legal assistant to prepare immigration cases. This is a high level position requiring a candidate who is very detail oriented. The candidate will prepare immigration forms, research law, translate documents, draft declarations, interact with clients via phone and email and prepare documents (legal writing) in English. Must be able to read, write and speak Spanish and English fluently. Please apply if you are smart, detail-oriented, able to multi-task, able to work independently, and especially if you have immigration law firm experience. Also preferred would be a candidate who is comfortable with creating social media content.
You must have a reliable computer, fast internet connection and private space to maintain confidentiality. You must excel with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with creating and editing PDFs is also preferred.
If you have an interest in moving to a hybrid position of working in San Diego and from Tijuana remotely, that can be arranged with a TN visa, depending on the qualifications of the candidate.
Being located in or near Tijuana and having a valid visa to enter the U.S. is required as it may be necessary for the candidate to travel to San Diego for training. We are looking not just for someone who wants a job, but rather someone who is passionate about assisting the U.S. immigrant population.
