Descripción del empleo

We are currently seeking a self-driven Suipplier Quality Engineer with a passion for manufacturing to join our team. This position will oversee the quality of the Contract Manufacturer products. The role will report to the Virtual Factory Quality Manager and will be based in the GSC Monterrey Campus - MDIC.

What will you do:
  • Support new product introductions, supplier development activities related to manufactured components.
  • Lead internal/external customer complaints with problem solving methodologies as 8D, A3, Lean Six Sigma Projects.
  • Drive process robustness through PFMEA, process control plans and poka yoke/jidoka solutions.
  • Monitor supplier quality performance at the plant level and report it.
  • Lead suppliers process audits.
  • Deploy projects to increase productivity and process improvements and utilize digital technology with our contract manufacturers.
  • Pilot the qualification of the products (finished goods) through PPAP process.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial).
  • 3 + years’ experience with manufacturing quality, manufacturing engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience with 8D problem solving methodology, tool utilization (5Why, fishbone (cause and effect), etc.)
  • Six Sigma knowledge, experience, certification highly desired.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with data, problem resolution, project management.
  • Strong desire to work with people, on the manufacturing floor and with customer interface, excellent follow-up, and execution skills.
  • Advanced English.
