As a Senior Software Developer, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering this innovation to our users, ensuring the application is functional, delightful, and snappy to use. Your work will directly influence how users interact with the platform, making ELT operations easy, efficient, and accessible while working with a remote, cross‑functional team of designers, product managers, and engineers. What You’ll Do
- Design and build new features for our REST APIs and large‑scale data processing pipelines using Python, Typescript, Spark and AWS‑native services.
- Architect, optimize and scale backend services to support high throughput and low‑latency workloads.
- Collaborate closely with senior engineers, architects, DevOps and QA teams to deliver high‑quality features end‑to‑end.
- Improve system performance, reliability and scalability across our distributed services.
- Mentor junior developers, lead code reviews and raise the overall engineering bar.
- Automate deployments and CI/CD using Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform, Serverless Framework) and Kubernetes‑based workflows.
- Work hands‑on with big data, event‑driven architectures and data‑intensive applications.
What You Bring
Technical Skills:
- 5 years of experience in backend or full‑stack engineering roles (strong backend focus).
- 5 years of hands‑on experience with Python building APIs, automation or data pipelines.
- 3 years with Typescript (server‑side frameworks or API development).
- Advanced experience with AWS (EC2, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Step Functions, etc.).
- Strong expertise in Kubernetes – you must have deployed, operated or optimized workloads on K8s.
- Experience with large‑scale data processing, distributed computing or batch/stream processing (Spark, EMR, Glue, Dask, Kafka, etc.).
- Understanding of system design, scalability patterns, microservices and cloud architecture.
Collaboration & Communication:
- English communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams. C1 English level or higher is required.
- Get to know the team, set up your development environment, provision your AWS infrastructure, and get comfortable with our remote work routine.
- Dive into our tech stack, code development workflow and CI/CD systems.
- Fix minor bugs and assist in resolving client issues to familiarize yourself with the codebase.
- Make your first pull request and participate in the review of pull requests.
FIRST 60 DAYS: Building Momentum
- Take ownership of a small feature or module and finish implementation.
- Support senior developers and participate in the development of more complex features and enhancements.
- Collaborate with the QA team and your team lead to plan the deployment of a feature you worked on.
- Present your work in a demo session to QA and the product management team.
- Assist in the resolution of a client production issue or feature request.
- Take full ownership for the development of a feature or module and see to the deployment to production.
- Have a firm grasp on how the critical parts of the application work and be able to troubleshoot reported defects without much assistance.
- Actively contribute to team discussions on architecture design and implementation strategies.
- Reflect on your contributions and onboarding, providing actionable feedback to the team on how they can improve their processes and workflows.
