What will you do?

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for implementing the overarching quality mission and strategy across assigned areas, fostering an open and proactive quality culture. This role serves as a strategic quality consultant within the organization, ensuring compliance, continuous improvement, and alignment with global standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a business- and employee-centered quality management system, including documentation, regulations, methods, and IT tools.
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives in quality processes to enhance effectiveness and efficiency throughout the customer journey.
  • Plan and execute internal and external audit programs, including certification audits, to ensure transparency and business impact.
  • Implement global quality programs in collaboration with partner production sites and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned across assigned plants.
  • Ensure compliance with product safety regulations and internal standards.
  • Provide real-time data analysis for decision-making, preventive actions, and continuous improvement.
  • Analyze trends and root causes using data analytics to establish early warning systems.
  • Apply and promote quality improvement methodologies (e.g., 8D, RCA, FMEA).
  • Cultivate a quality-oriented mindset among managers and employees through role modeling and best practice sharing.
  • Manage customer complaints related to manufacturing and supplier issues.
  • Oversee non-conformance (NC) management and reporting processes.
  • Plan and allocate quality-related budgets and resources.
  • Execute training and competence development programs for quality-related skills.
  • Lead and coordinate quality teams, including supervisors and professionals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional units (e.g., R&D, Purchasing, Production Systems) to achieve quality goals.
  • Participate in new product development and release processes, including Q-Gates.
  • Initiate and lead improvement projects using agile and lean methodologies.
  • Support organizational transition to agile/lean practices through coaching and guidance.
  • Ensure implementation and continuous improvement of the quality component of the Integrated Management System.
  • Maintain and improve production quality reporting and conduct Management Reviews.
  • Communicate quality topics effectively to ensure awareness and understanding.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant production regulations and develop processes to meet these requirements.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in quality management within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, standards, and methodologies (e.g., ISO, FMEA, 8D, RCA).
  • Experience with digital tools and data analytics for quality improvement.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Experience in agile and lean transformation is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages are an asset.
