Descripción del empleo

The Mechanical Design Engineer collaborates with a local or global engineering team on product design to meet customer specifications. This includes design, product validation, documentation, and executing launch items for production. All related drawings, documentation, and releases are completed in internal systems.

General Responsibilities

• Assist with static and dynamic design, as well as analysis of electro-mechanical components.
• Perform design verification on original and derivative designs by collecting empirical data through experiments, and analyze this data to make design recommendations.
• Participate in feasibility studies and testing of new and modified designs. Work closely with technicians and drafting teams in technology selection, conceptual and detailed design, and prototyping.
• Coordinate failure analysis investigations and engineering evaluations.
• Maintain a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, mechanics, fluid dynamics, thermo, and heat transfer.

Experience / Qualifications

• A university degree (e.g., Bachelor's) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and demands.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, including presentation skills.
• Excellent organization, planning, and time management skills.
• Strong ethical values and integrity.
• Self-accountability in achieving goals and standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work across all organizational levels, including with suppliers and external customers.
