A healthcare solutions provider in Nuevo Laredo is seeking a skilled technician responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of process equipment systems through maintenance and repair. The ideal candidate will participate in preventive and corrective activities, work collaboratively with teams, and possess a technical background in mechanical and electrical systems. This role requires effective communication skills and a focus on safety in an industrial environment.

Formación

  • Basic level skill in Microsoft Office.
  • Mechanical, electrical, electronics & software maintenance background of 3+ years.
  • Able to work on elevated work platforms, catwalks, scaffolding, etc.

Job Description

General Objective: Responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of process equipment systems through the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Performs equipment repairs and troubleshooting with minimal supervision, supports daily preventive maintenance tasks, and collaborates with other maintenance staff and departments on projects as required. Conducts inspections to identify safety risks and equipment malfunctions, contributing to a safe, efficient, and compliant operation.

Responsibilities
  • Actively participate in a High Performance Work Team environment, sharing knowledge and skills with all team members.
  • Support the planning and execution of daily/weekly/and shutdown activities.
  • Actively participate in failure analysis and equipment troubleshooting.
  • Identify patterns of failures and ways to design out failures.
  • Provide routine maintenance as planned.
  • Participate in cost effective decision making, for example, labor, parts, materials.
  • Identify and maintain critical spare inventory levels.
  • Participate in shutdown planning and two-week planning processes, including work and parts preparation.
  • Set up and operate all types of mechanical tools.
  • Read blue prints and related technical literature as required (in english).
  • Fabricate jobs from blueprints and sketches.
  • Be willing to and/or have the mechanical aptitude to lead and execute repairs.
  • To work with and on occasion, lead others (operators, crafts, contractors, suppliers).
Electro Mechanical Profile
  • To be proficient in the assembly, disassembly and installation of mechanical/ electrical systems and components.
  • Test, maintain, or calibrate unmanned, automated, servo-mechanical, or electromechanical equipment.
  • Measure performance of electromechanical assemblies, using test instruments such as oscilloscopes, electronic voltmeters, or bridges.
  • Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, or technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly.
  • Prepare written documentation of electromechanical test results.
  • Inspect parts for surface defects.
  • Install electrical or electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools.
  • Verify part dimensions or clearances to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
Control & Automation Profile
  • PLC Logic experience.
  • Optic Fiber & Sensors Experience
  • Networking & Troubleshooting.
  • Monitor and operate machines designed to perform tasks with minimal human intervention.
  • Check sensors, plc programming, wiring and connections to verify that machines work properly and analyze the results to ensure they meet standards.
  • Troubleshoot problems and perform repairs when machines/ systems develop problems, preferably while processes continue to run.
  • Prepare reports for managers and recommend upgrades or changes to processes.
  • Able to think critically to solve problems and be detail-oriented so they can follow complex instructions.
  • Comfortable using digital hardware and software, up to the level of minor programming.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for training new workers and explaining issues to decision-makers.
Boilers Tech Profile
  • Experience in boiler systems, overseeing maintenance, enforcing safety protocols, and adjusting controls.
  • Perform routine maintenance on boilers and associated equipment, and piping systems, burners.
  • Keeping service and repair logs, communicating with customers or organizations, performing preventative checks on equipment, and promoting efficiency.
  • Mechanical skills and systems knowledge is needed in order to keep boilers functioning properly and ensure the safety of businesses.
  • Perform line purges and detect heating/ steam opportunities.
  • Combustion processes and burner repair.
Chemical Tech Profile
  • Monitor and adjust chemical processing equipment.
  • Provide technical support or services in chemical-related equipment.
  • Perform chemical adds to equipment, identify reactions and define recipes.
  • Maintain established quality control standards.
  • Maintain Chemical supply equipment (pumps, piping’s).
  • Measure and reach desirable chemical concentrations.
Professional Profile

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Basic level skill in Microsoft Office.
  • Mechanical, electrical, electronics & software maintenance background +3 Years.
  • Able to work on elevated work platforms, catwalks, scaffolding, etc. and enter confined spaces.
  • Must understand predictive/preventative maintenance concepts and demonstrate willingness to learn and continue education.
  • Must be willing to work safely in environments where hazardous materials may be present.
