A leading coatings company in Mexico seeks a Marine Key Account Manager to drive sales and customer satisfaction in the marine segment. Responsibilities include developing sales strategies, managing accounts, and creating business opportunities. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in technical sales within the coatings industry and a degree in a relevant engineering field. Strong English skills and willingness to travel are required.

Formación

  • 5+ years in technical sales or account management in the coatings industry.
  • Experience with technical specifications, tenders, or naval/offshore projects.
  • Intermediate Advanced English required.

Descripción del empleo

As a Marine KAM, you will need to develop main accounts in the marine segment, ensuring customer satisfaction, profitable growth, and market share in specialized coating products for vessels, offshore structures, and port applications.

You will report to PMC Protetive Platform Director Latin America.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce sales strategies and plan their implementation to achieve your our goals.

  • Ensure that sales support units fulfill their tasks and the requests of internal and external customers, aligning them to benefit their goals.

  • Develop business plans to increase our client portfolio and business volume across the region.

  • Create opportunities to develop new business and improve operational and financial results.

  • Accomplish quotations, orders, and deliveries to customers.

  • Request and control credit lines to ensure they do not impede normal business operations.

  • Coordinate the sales process for the maritime segment throughout Mexico.

  • Define and align the portfolio for new construction and dry dock projects, making portfolio/product recommendations adjustments.

  • Map the market and define the pipeline for customer reversals.

  • Use a sales CRM to manage the sales pipeline and record information on prospects.

  • Understand the prospect's needs and market solutions which align to those needs.

Qualifications
  • Chemical, Industrial, Naval Engineering or related field.

  • Specialization in industrial coatings or commercial management is desirable.

  • 5+ years in technical sales or account management in the coatings industry in the marine or heavy industrial segment.

  • Previous experience with technical specifications, tenders, or naval/offshore projects.

  • Technical knowledge of marine coatings (anti-corrosion, antifouling, primers, or topcoats).

  • Application and maintenance processes in maritime environments.

  • Standards and certifications (IMO, PSPC, ISO 12944, NORSOK).

  • Intermediate Advanced English.

  • Availability to travel.
