About the Role
We are seeking a Chief of Staff / Deputy Country Manager to act as a strategic and operational partner to the Country Manager, driving alignment and execution across multiple business units, including Operations, Finance, HR, Legal, and Strategic Projects.
This individual will play a pivotal role in scaling the organization — from designing internal processes and managing strategic initiatives, to evaluating growth opportunities and ensuring operational excellence across the company.
The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in corporate strategy, M&A, and financial planning, combined with hands‑on operational leadership and the ability to manage cross‑functional teams in a fast‑moving environment.
What You Will Do
- Partner with the Country Manager to define and execute long‑term strategic plans, business expansion, and new verticals.
- Lead M&A assessments, partnership evaluations, and new business feasibility studies.
- Coordinate due diligence, valuation, and integration efforts for acquisitions or joint ventures.
- Prepare strategic materials for the Board, Group leadership, and investors.
- Lead FP&A, including annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Develop dashboards to monitor company‑wide KPIs, ensuring financial and operational discipline.
- Partner with Finance, Treasury, and Risk teams to align capital planning and resource allocation.
- Oversee day‑to‑day coordination of cross‑functional departments (Finance, HR, Legal, Operations).
- Design and implement scalable processes and SOPs across the company.
- Ensure alignment between back‑office operations and front‑line business units.
- Lead key projects in digital transformation, automation, and reporting systems.
- Partner with HR on organizational design, hiring, and performance management.
- Drive internal communication, OKR alignment, and leadership team effectiveness.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support corporate governance, board preparation, and group reporting requirements.
- Serve as liaison between CSMX and global leadership teams in Singapore and Tokyo.
- Anticipate operational or strategic risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies.
What You Will Bring
Must Have
- 7–12 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or M&A, ideally within financial services or fintech.
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams and projects.
- Strong financial acumen (budgeting, modeling, valuation).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, both in English and Spanish.
- Exceptional problem‑solving ability and ownership mindset.
- Comfort operating in a start‑up‑like environment with corporate governance requirements.
Nice to Have
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree from a top‑tier institution.
- Experience in structured finance, impact investing, or private credit.

- Opportunity to build up our business in Mexico.
- An engaging work environment with a passionate and talented international team in a fast‑growing sector.
- Mission‑oriented and intellectually stimulating projects and constant challenges for growth.
