A filtration technology company in San Luis Potosí is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to oversee financial operations and compliance. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience, preferably in manufacturing, and a strong understanding of US GAAP and local regulations. This role involves supervising accountants, leading audits, and implementing efficient accounting practices.

Formación

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience; manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Advanced conversational English.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP accounting and local Mexico compliance.

We are looking for a talented Accounting Supervisor to join the Finance Operations team at Atmus Filtration Technologies, S.L.P.

Job description: Responsible for implementing accounting practices and procedures. Supervises a group of general accountants in maintaining the general ledger and completing compliance requirements and statutory audits.

Responsibilities
  • Supervises a group of general accountants in maintaining the general ledger.
  • Implements accounting policies under direction of the Accounting & Compliance Leader.
  • Thoroughly understands local Mexico compliance requirements and leads statutory audits, including timelines and support.
  • Implements processes and procedures that properly capture, track, and report revenue and expenditures.
  • Compiles, reviews, analyzes, and records complex financial information.
  • Reviews account reconciliations prepared by accountants.
  • Reviews and interprets balance sheet and profit and loss statements, consolidated financial statements, and other accounting schedules and reports.
  • Identifies control weaknesses and communicates to management.
  • Operates in a lead capacity in making remedial changes to tighten and enhance controls and mitigate risk.
  • Conducts research and analysis on advanced issues.
  • Designs, modifies, installs, and/or maintains accounting systems to ensure adequate recognition of financial transactions.
  • Coaches and mentors accountants; assigns work according to availability, skills, and developmental needs; assesses performance and provides feedback to direct reports.
To be successful in this role, you will need the following
  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant work experience; manufacturing experience preferred
  • Education: University degree in accounting or finance
  • English: Advanced conversational
  • Microsoft Office: advanced
  • Knowledge in: US GAAP accounting; Local Mexico compliance & regulatory; Audits and internal controls.
