Job summary
A luxury hotel chain in Milan is seeking a Runner to transport dishes from the kitchen to the tables with speed and accuracy. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, fluent in Italian and English, and enthusiastic about providing exceptional guest service. This role requires an outgoing personality who can ensure that the dining experience at the hotel is seamless and enjoyable. - Transport dishes from the kitchen to tables ensuring speed and accuracy.
- Maintain communication with the kitchen and dining room staff.
- Ensure that all service areas are ready before service begins.

Skills
Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Milan within the Mandarin Garden Department in Milan, the Runner is responsible to delight and satisfy our guests. We are dedicated to making a difference every day and continually improve to ensure we are the best. The Runner reports to the Director of Mandarin Garden.
- Is responsible for transporting dishes from the kitchen to the tables ensuring speed and accuracy of service.
- Must also ensure constant communication with the kitchen and colleagues in the dining room to ensure smooth and seamless service.
- He or she must also ensure that everything is in order before service begins, from the cutlery on the table to the cleanliness of the Mandarin Garden areas.
- An outgoing and passionate resource is required, enthusiastic about interfacing with the guest and willing to offer impeccable and sincere service with a smile and the right spirit of hospitality.
- The ideal candidate is a self‑motivated person with great communication skills, fluent in Italian and English.
