About the Role

In this role, you will be an integral part of the Merchants team, working on scalable, high-impact solutions to enhance merchant operations, improve efficiency, and drive growth. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to create robust and efficient solutions that support merchant growth. What You Will Do

1. Take ownership of the entire lifecycle of your stories: development, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvements.
2. Write clear, concise, performant, tested code that is easily understandable by others.
3. Deploy microservices and assist with infrastructure setup and maintenance.
4. Conduct code reviews following team standards and best practices to ensure quality and consistency.
5. Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members, product managers, and other stakeholders.

What You Will Need

• At least 2 years of experience in designing, developing, testing, and deploying applications using Golang, Java, Elixir, or similar programming languages.
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), SQL, Design Patterns, and relational database modeling.
• Strong knowledge of unit testing methodologies and frameworks.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and practices.
• Hands-on experience with technologies like PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, or similar systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot code and system-related issues effectively.

About the Team

Food Merchants team is a large group of over 35 engineers based mainly in Jakarta. Our goal is to enable seamless onboarding of merchants to GoFood and provide an excellent experience through the GoBiz App and dashboard.

The Identity and Activation team plays a key role in ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new merchants. We build and maintain systems for registration, verification, profile setup, and activation, as well as manage user authentication, access control, and account management to ensure secure and seamless business operations.

We work closely with product and design teams to develop scalable solutions that reduce friction, improve merchant success rates, and foster growth.
