Overview

We work closely with a carefully selected hiring cohort to ensure exceptional judgement within a hiring model that supports the selection of world-class talent from a global talent pool. We drive initiatives, build automations and offer an expert viewpoint on assessing talent.

We are advancing our graduate hiring strategy to reach and assess world-class junior talent. The role focuses on building strong partnerships with top-ranked universities globally. The successful candidate will bring experience leading graduate hiring at regional or global scale within the technology industry, possess a strong academic track record, and be able to analyse data, assess performance outcomes and build dashboards to monitor results. This role is about the science of talent and performance—raising awareness and insights so the business can select the best talent available.

Location: This is a remote position based in the EMEA region

What your day will look like
  • Build effective partnerships with leading academic institutions to raise awareness of our graduate opportunities.
  • Create a highly effective proposition to inspire top talent to apply to Canonical.
  • Drive talent analytics to provide real-time insights, partnering with the business to support efficient hiring processes.
  • Conduct in-depth behavioural talent interviews to gain insights into motivations and behaviours.
  • Build relationships with global stakeholders to deliver against the hiring agenda, monitor activities, drive results and ensure consistency in processes.
  • Drive data-driven insights to inform robust decision making.
  • Consider employer brand and how candidate interactions impact their experience.
  • Review and streamline hiring processes and tools to support continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with external partners to maximise return on investment.
  • Bring a passion for diversity and inclusion, reducing unconscious bias and aligning sourcing strategies accordingly.
What we are looking for in you
  • An exceptional academic background with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology or a people-based subject.
  • Experience hiring talent in the technology industry with a focus on graduate hiring.
  • A highly data-driven mindset with the ability to create measurable outcomes (strong maths and analytics experience).
  • Strong analytical problem-solving ability to identify trends and patterns using SQL.
  • Passion for scientifically-informed talent selection with ability to predict and measure hiring outcomes.
  • Exposure or appreciation of psychometric assessments, including interpretation.
  • Experience conducting behavioural, competency-based interviews and the ability to train stakeholders.
  • Experience with tools such as Greenhouse, LinkedIn, Superset, Thomas International/DISC assessments is advantageous.
  • High level of personal organisation and self-motivation to work remotely.
  • Willingness to travel to company events 2-4 times a year, up to two weeks each.
