Role: Senior Legal Manager

We’re looking for a Senior Legal Manager to join our growing legal team and support Ajaib’s rapid business expansion. This role is suited for someone with strong legal fundamentals and a problem-solving mindset. Someone who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments and wants to build a lasting impact in the tech and financial services industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical and solution-oriented legal advice across business areas, including commercial, product counseling, employment law, IP, regulatory, data privacy, and disputes.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Ops, Compliance, People, Finance, etc) to identify and manage legal risks while enabling business goals.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements and internal documentation.
• Lead and improve internal legal processes, including contract management, compliance systems, and SOPs.
• Supervise and mentor junior legal team members, manage external counsel, and ensure high-quality legal work.
• Proactively monitor regulatory developments and assess their business impact.
• Support leadership with strategic legal input on product launches, partnerships, regulatory matters, and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law from a reputable university.
• Experienced legal professional with a background in both law firm and in-house corporate roles (startup or fintech experience is a plus).
• Capable of managing a wide range of legal matters, from day-to-day operations to high-level strategic issues
• Strong commercial judgment with the ability to balance legal risk and business priorities.
• Confident in engaging with senior stakeholders and providing guidance across different levels of the organization
• Comfortable taking initiative and navigating ambiguity in fast-paced and evolving environments
• Effective in communicating clearly and building alignment across cross-functional teams
