About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our team in Batam, Riau Islands. As a full-time Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance across our manufacturing operations.

What you'll be doing
  • Improve quality control processes for new product introduction and coordinate quality related issues.
  • Manage customer complaints, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Ensure quality systems are compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and manage nonconforming product/material.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and site-level projects.
  • Ensure conformity of incoming material and feedback to supplier if any non-conformance.
  • Establish and update Quality Procedures, Work Instructions, Inspection Plan.
  • Establish PFMEA and update based on external and internal issues throughout the life of product.
  • Perform R&R analysis to validate defect detection effectiveness.
  • Monitoring equipment calibration.
What we're looking for
  • Diploma with min. 2 years of experience as Quality Engineer in Manufacturing, preferable from Cigarette Manufacturing.
  • Technical high school graduation with min. 5 years of experience as Quality Engineer in Manufacturing, preferable from Cigarette manufacturing are welcome to apply.
  • Familiar with measuring equipment.
  • Smoker and willing to develop the ability to analyze cigarettes in terms of sensory test.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, process Improvement.
  • Proficiency in QC Tools, Measurement System Analysis, and MS-Office.
  • Effective communication skill, teamwork and cross-functional collaboration skill.
  • Familiarity with Quality Standard and Procedures.
