Job summary

A leading construction firm in Indonesia is seeking a qualified individual to manage cost estimation, contract negotiation, and project budget monitoring. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in quantity surveying and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. You will oversee cost control processes and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Job description

Lead the preparation and verification of Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and tender documentation for infrastructure, buildings, utilities, and civil works.

Conduct detailed quantity take-offs by analyzing technical drawings and specifications to calculate accurate volumes of materials and work.

Manage and oversee all post‑contract cost control processes, including valuations, variations, claims, and final accounts.

Oversee contract administration and negotiation, including drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts, subcontracts, claims, and procurement strategies.

Provide commercial advice and risk analysis to support strategic decision‑making across projects.

Monitor project budgets, track actual costs, and ensure alignment with cost forecasts and financial planning.

Ensure compliance with contractual terms, procurement policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align cost plans with project scopes, schedules, and execution strategies.

Maintain quantity take‑off databases, cost benchmarks, and pricing libraries.

Prepare and present regular cost reports to senior management, highlighting risks, savings opportunities, and budget performance.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in QS with at least 2 years in managerial level.

Solid knowledge of local construction market pricing, contracts (FIDIC, local formats), and procurement procedures.

Strong understanding of civil, structural, and construction works in industrial settings.

Proficient in QS software, AutoCAD, MS Office, and Excel.

High integrity individual with excellent analytical, communication, and detail oriented skills.

Able to work on‑site in an industrial estate setting and manage multiple project packages simultaneously.
