Overview
Plant Manager role requiring leadership in production, planning, and operations within a lubricant / automotive or manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage the production and transport operations in order to meet the objectives of quality, cost, timing, quantity and safety and guarantee the best performance of the plant.
- Plan and implement actions aimed at promoting operational synergies, technological support and optimization of supply defined.
- Manage the human and material resources of its area of responsibility, in order to provide a quality technical assistance service to customers, as well as a systematic renewal of the product range, promoting innovation, in accordance with the strategic plan of the business.
- Manage the support to the sales force and customers in the best application of the products and in the technical solution in case of problems in its usage, as well as supervise the implementation of new processes and products.
- Define and ensure the implementation of the purchasing strategy: plan the annual purchasing initiatives according to established processes.
- Define and implement the proposals of modification and investments to optimize resources and activities, and coordinate with Technical Services, Maintenance and Engineering its implementation.
- Supervise the operations according to the integrated Safety, Quality and Environment system.
- Generate high-level negotiations for the development of trade agreements with the main suppliers of raw materials that translate into the maximum benefit in quality, timing and price of those raw materials that have a greater impact on the manufacturing cost, enhancing profitability.
- Guarantee the continuous improvement in the different areas of responsibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master of Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering.
- Preferably having experience as Plant Manager or equivalent at least 5 years in lubricant / automotive or manufacturing company.
- Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., ISO, etc).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in production planning, scheduling, and managing resources to meet deadlines.
- Proven track record in production planning, team management, and process optimization.
- Ability to work with budgets and manage cost control processes for production and operational efficiency.
- Ability to identify issues in the production process, troubleshoot, and implement effective solutions.
- Flexibility to work in shifts or during weekends may be required depending on the plant's operational hours.
