An international trading company is seeking an Operations cum Customer Service Executive in Jakarta Utara, Indonesia. The role involves managing daily operations, leading a small team, and ensuring effective communication with customers and suppliers. We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Operations cum Customer Service Executive to join our international trading team. This position requires a strong grasp of export/import documentation, excellent communication in English, and the ability to both lead a small team and personally manage daily operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing people management with direct involvement in execution.
Demonstrates a solid understanding of the end-to-end supply chain process, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and final delivery to customers. Understands how each function impacts cost, lead time, service level, and overall business performance
Be actively involved in daily tasks – from order entry, shipment booking, to document checking
Prepare and review shipping documentation: Commercial Invoice, Packing List, BL, COO, and LC-related paperwork
Coordinate with suppliers, shipping agents, freight forwarders, and customers to ensure on-time delivery
Handle customer communication, follow-ups, and complaint resolution directly
Track and update shipment schedules, monitor delivery timelines, and elevate issues when needed
Work closely with the sales and finance teams to manage stock allocation and payment status
Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation guidelines
Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to junior staff(depend on the position)
Submit regular reports to management on operational efficiency and team performance
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, International Trade, Logistics, or related field
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in international trade operations.
Strong hands-on knowledge of export/import processes and documentation
Fluent in English – both written and spoken (daily communication with overseas parties).
Able to multitask, take initiative, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Experience in raw materials or industrial product trading is a plus.
Lead and work hands-on in global trade ops. Manage shipments, documents, and a team. English a must. Knowledge of worldwide logistics is key.
