Operation Manager – Smart Farm Munduk

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Agriculture (Agronomy, Horticulture, Agribusiness, Soil Science), Animal Science, or Agrotechnology.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in farm operations, with strong expertise in farm management.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach to resolving farm performance issues and implementing effective interventions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven ability to train, coach, and mentor farm personnel to enhance operational standards.
• Willing and able to travel frequently for on‑site farm visits as required.

Position

Position is based Munduk, Bali.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Execution & Monitoring

Execute and supervise all daily Smartfarm operations in alignment with SOPs, policies, and directives set by the General Manager.

Monitor performance metrics including growth rate, mortality, feed conversion ratio, environmental conditions, and production efficiency.

Conduct initial root‑cause analysis during operational issues and prepare recommendations for GM approval.

Implement GM‑approved corrective action plans to ensure stable and improved farm productivity.

Ensure compliance with quality, production, and biosecurity standards across all farm operations.

2. Technical Support & Biosecurity

Provide frontline technical support during disease outbreaks, performance dips, or environmental abnormalities.

Maintain and enforce strict biosecurity protocols, sanitation procedures, and environmental management.

Ensure equipment, tools, and infrastructure are functioning safely and efficiently.

Collaborate with supervisors and technicians to control risks and mitigate operational disruptions.

3. Training, Coaching & People Development

Conduct routine training on SOPs, hygiene, equipment usage, and operational best practices.

Increase the technical competency of farm personnel through continuous training and coaching.

Provide operational feedback on staff performance to the General Manager.

Ensure discipline, teamwork, and productivity of the farm workforce.

4. Data Management, Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate documentation of farm operations, performance data, interventions, and routine checks.

Prepare and submit weekly and monthly operational reports to the General Manager.

Present technical insights and recommended actions to support GM’s decision‑making (without final decision authority).

Ensure data documentation aligns with auditing, compliance, and reporting standards.

5. Coordination of GM‑Approved Initiatives

Coordinate execution of trials, system improvements, and small‑scale research initiatives following GM approval.

Assist the GM in communicating operational needs, progress updates, and technical insights to internal stakeholders.

Act as a technical liaison with the Centre of Excellence (COE) or external partners when instructed by the GM.

Ensure all GM instructions, operational strategies, and improvement programs are executed effectively.

6. Compliance, Safety & Risk Management

Ensure adherence to occupational safety standards, PPE usage, and worker safety protocols.

Identify and report operational risks to the GM for strategic review.

Oversee the implementation of safety and risk mitigation practices across the farm.

Support GM in preparing operational documentation for safety audits and regulatory inspections.
