Job description
Materials and Logistics Leader – OWS London

The Materials and Logistics Leader – OWS London is responsible for managing and executing all materials and logistics requirements in support of shop and field operations to meet customer and business requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Manage material processes and systems, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs. Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs. Optimize inventory and process improvements.
  • Drive focus and continuous improvement in meeting delivery and cost commitments, manage vendor and supplier performance, identify and escalation of risks to delivery and cost, optimize picking rules and ordering practices.
  • Develop and execute site level inventory management including physical audit, physical separation, and forecasting. Regularly review inventory levels and drive strategic actions (including annual physical inventory and monthly cycle counts).
  • Coach team on the significance of inventory to the site and the objectives of inventory management.
  • Develop and implement processes to manage, store, and physically movement of rotables and Customer Owned Property (COP). Understand customer and business expectations and limitations and develop strategy and plan for the use of rotables and COP to optimize business outcomes.
  • Ensure site compliance in areas of import, export, customs, and dangerous goods requirements. Establish record retention processes, understand and support audits by local authorities, and coach and train team members in understanding compliance requirements.
  • In‑depth understanding of key business drivers; use this understanding to accomplish own work and understand how work of own team integrates with other teams.
  • Use some level of judgment and have ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance.
  • Individual contributor role; may provide informal guidance to new team members.
Required Qualifications

Experience in Manufacturing & Materials Planning and Execution. Knowledge level comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.

  • Advanced experience in Materials Planning and Execution.
  • Previous SAP knowledge would be advantageous.
