Job description

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers to develop their skills and grow their careers at Indodana. Responsible for managing, growing the team as well as promotions, demotions, hiring, firing, etc.
• Understand Indodana's business and improve the business with the help of your engineering team.
• Ensure that your team is happy, motivated and productive at Indodana.
• Work together with product manager to set feature specs and target deadlines. Drive projects so that you can meet deadlines with your team.
• Work with your team to build features, maintain old code, improve and clean the code that your team owns.
• Contribute to design decision and review each other's code.
• Make sure the code that your team owns will be available 24/7 and be willing to troubleshoot and maintain the services that your team owns.
• Hire and help the company find new engineering talent.

Qualifications

• A formal degree in Computer Science is preferred, but candidates with demonstrable skills and experience are equally valued.
• Strong problem solving & software engineering coding skills preferably, but not limited to, Java/NodeJS.
• Familiarity with RDBMS technology, but not limited to, PostgreSQL/MySQL.
• Experience in version control (Git) and familiarity with development collaboration tools (GitHub).
• High level understanding on how the internet works (HTTP, DNS, IP, Server-client interaction, etc).
• Experience building scalable web services.
• Proven record of good mentorship and leadership in delivering high quality projects.
• At least 5 years experience working in a good tech oriented company (or if you don't have it, you can prove to us that you can gain the respect from a team of smart engineers and you can lead them to greatness).
