About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Heavy Equipment Rental Salesman to join our team at PT. Kanamoto Indonesia. As a contract role based in East Jakarta, Jakarta, you will play a crucial part in driving the growth and success of our heavy equipment rental business. With a focus on building strong customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities, you will be responsible for generating sales and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting and generating new business leads through networking, cold calling, and other sales activities
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers to secure repeat business and identify upsell opportunities
  • Providing excellent customer service by understanding client needs and recommending the most suitable heavy equipment rental solutions
  • Negotiating and closing sales agreements, ensuring that all contractual terms and conditions are met
  • Collaborating with the operations team to ensure timely delivery and installation of rented equipment
  • Monitoring market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities
  • Maintaining detailed records of sales activities, pipeline, and performance metrics
  • Providing regular sales reports and insights to the management team

Requirements

  • Proven track record of successful sales experience in the heavy equipment rental or heavy equipment sales industry, preferably in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of the heavy equipment rental market, including industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with customers
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and address customer needs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, for creating sales presentations and reports
  • A customer-centric mindset and a commitment to delivering exceptional service
  • Willingness to travel within Java and other regions as required
