Overview
Our client is looking for an experienced and strategic Sourcing Head to lead their procurement and partnership development efforts. The ideal candidate will be a skilled negotiator and buyer with a proven ability to identify, evaluate, and secure a global network of high-quality material suppliers and factory partners. This role requires a proactive leader who can develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies that ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness while building strong, long-term relationships that support our business goals.
Responsibilities
- Sourcing Strategy: Develop and implement a global sourcing strategy for all raw materials, components, and finished goods, aligning with the companys quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
- Supplier Identification: Proactively research and identify potential new suppliers, manufacturers, and factory partners both domestically and internationally.
- Partnership Development: Lead the evaluation, qualification, and onboarding of new partners, establishing robust relationships and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Negotiation & Contracts: Conduct all contract negotiations with suppliers and partners to secure favorable terms, pricing, and quality agreements.
- Procurement Management: Oversee the entire procurement lifecycle, from material purchasing and inventory management to ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
- Performance Management: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed on market trends, material costs, and supply chain risks to inform sourcing decisions and mitigate potential disruptions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (15+ years) in a senior sourcing, procurement, or supply chain role.
- Demonstrated expertise in identifying and developing new manufacturing and supplier partnerships.
- Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed cost analysis and market research.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to travel as required to visit suppliers and factories.
