Job description

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Head of Network Logistics Management to lead our airfreight operations and procurement strategy across the Southeast Asia region. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will be responsible for driving competitive advantage through effective network management, strategic sourcing, and meticulous operational oversight. This is a critical leadership role requiring deep industry expertise and a proven ability to build and manage high-performing teams and networks.

What a Typical Day Looks Like

A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to leadership, strategic sourcing, and operational governance:

Team Leadership & Development: Conduct required 1-on-1s with relevant team members provide coaching, feedback, and career guidance.

Strategic Procurement Management: Lead the Procurement Process to monitor the status of ongoing procurement activities, track progress against goals, and make necessary strategic adjustments.

Target Setting: Define and set ambitious Monthly Procurement Targets that align with the company's regional cost and service objectives.

Operational Planning: Conduct Shipping Plan Review to ensure alignment between sales forecasts, operational capacity, and optimal cost structures.

Incident Management: Handle ad hoc incidents and operational escalations, ensuring proper process adherence and coordinating swift, effective resolution across all internal and external stakeholders.

Experience & Leadership

8+ years of extensive experience in airfreight logistics, with a strong focus on the e-commerce sector.

5+ years of dedicated experience in strategic procurement or sourcing within the logistics industry.

Proven ability to periodically, but consistently review the team against set expectations and objectives to drive continuous improvement across all domains in the region.

Deep understanding of the logistics network in Southeast Asia (SEA), demonstrated by the ability to create a comprehensive overview of partners, lanes, and service target rates.

Possess an existing network of network partners and strong connections in the region that can be immediately activated to speed up conversations while consistently meeting target rates and service levels.

Technical Expertise & Execution

Ability to procure rates on an ad hoc basis that go beyond the outcomes of following strict SOPs, utilizing your deep network and market knowledge to secure exceptional deals.

Expert knowledge of best practices regarding air freight policies and movement, including but not limited to Block Space Agreements (BSA), Palletization, and Unit Load Device (ULD) utilization.

Reporting Structure

This role reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).
