PERSOL Indonesia is currently assisting our clients in Freight Forwarding industry in finding great talent as a Forwarding Sales Supervisor/Assistant Manager with the requirement as follows:

Working location: Jakarta

Job Responsibility
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to grow the logistics and forwarding business (Air & Sea).
  • Generate new business while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Conduct regular client visits, presentations, and negotiations.
  • Understand customer import/export and logistics needs, including trade routes and shipping requirements.
  • Prepare and present quotations for freight, customs clearance, documentation, and inland transportation.
  • Provide tailored logistics solutions based on customer needs, cost efficiency, and operational feasibility.
  • Monitor market trends, competitors, pricing, and customer performance to improve sales results.
  • Work closely with internal teams (operations, customer service, documentation, customs, finance) and external partners (shipping lines, forwarders, brokers).
  • Lead and support the sales team (for Supervisor / Assistant Manager level), monitor performance, and provide regular reports to management.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, pipelines, budgets, and performance reports.
  • Ensure high service quality by handling shipment issues, documentation, claims, and customer complaints professionally.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Business-level English proficiency (written and spoken).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in International Freight Forwarding Sales.
  • Must come from freight forwarding / import–export / international logistics background.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and developing new business.
  • Strong business network within the forwarding / logistics industry.
  • Solid understanding of international logistics processes and coordination.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
