Finance Controller/Mill Controller (Animal Feed)

We are recruiting on behalf of one of our clients, a pioneer in manufacturing scientifically balanced animal feed and animal nutrition in Asia. They are looking to hire a Financial Controller position that will report directly to the Head of Finance.

Responsibilities:

  1. Planning
  • Comply with all statutory and company requirements for managing debtors/outstanding, purchasing, cost control of raw materials, revenue, capital expenditure, and cash flow.
  • Assist the General Manager in preparing an annual detailed budget covering sales, manufacturing, financial, administrative costs, and capital expenditure for mills, to be presented to senior management.
  • Submit year-end package for group consolidation.
  • Control
    • Motivate, direct, and coordinate subordinate staff activities to ensure efficiency, economy, and security in their areas of responsibility.
    • Ensure proper record-keeping of mill accounting methods and records, including timely submission of monthly returns to the corporate office.
    • Maintain essential financial and operational records and ensure compliance with statutory and tax requirements.
    • Keep updated records of payments made and received for accurate daily cash flow and bank balance reports.
    • Monitor debtor outstanding and overdue amounts.
    • Update fixed assets in the computer system.
    • Act as a custodian of the company's assets and policies.
  • People Development
    • Drive optimal performance, engagement, retention, and maximize employee contributions.
    • Facilitate activities and programs for the Finance & Accounting team, FACT, Sales, and the company to promote learning and development.
  • Others
    • Implement corporate programs such as ISO/HACCP, 5S, ISMS, Branding, etc.
    • Perform assigned administrative functions.
