Job summary

A leading property firm in Jakarta is seeking an Accounting & Tax Manager to oversee financial statements, manage audits, and lead budgeting processes. The role requires 5-8 years of experience in property or real estate with a strong understanding of financial reporting standards. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in a Big 4 firm, proficiency in accounting systems, and excellent communication skills in English. This is a full-time role based in South Jakarta.

Job description

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards

Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and internal controls

Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities

Manage audit processes, including preparation of audit schedules and responses

Oversee accounting for property development, investment properties, and rental operations

Manage revenue recognition, cost allocation, capitalization, depreciation, and impairment of property assets

Monitor project costs, budgets, and profitability for property developments

Handle lease accounting and related disclosures

Budgeting & Financial Planning

Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes

Analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and trends

Provide financial insights and recommendations to support management decision-making

Management Reporting & Analysis

Prepare management reports, dashboards, and financial analyses for senior management

Conduct cash flow management and working capital analysis

Support strategic initiatives, investments, and financing activities

Team Leadership & Process Improvement

Supervise and mentor accounting and finance team members

Improve accounting processes, systems, and internal controls

Coordinate with cross‑functional teams such as operations, development, and sales

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage)

Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience, including:

Experience in a property or real estate company, and

Prior experience in a Big 4 public accounting firm

Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and taxation

Experience handling audits and regulatory compliance

Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel

Strong analytical skill required to identify risks and opportunities in the business

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English
