Job description
About the role

We are expanding our footprint beyond the major marketplaces (Shopee, TikTok Shop, Lazada) into alternative e-commerce channels across APAC. These include platforms such as Alfagift, KlikIndomaret, RedMart, Amazon SG, NTUC FairPrice, and other emerging retail and q-commerce partners. As the e-BD Manager – Alternative ECom Channels, you will be responsible for identifying, onboarding, and managing these strategic accounts. This is a highly entrepreneurial and self-driven role where you will build new revenue streams, create the onboarding playbook, and directly manage relationships end-to-end.

The role is based in Jakarta with initial focus on Indonesia, expanding to Singapore and later other APAC markets (Philippines, Malaysia, etc.).

What you'll be doing

Business Development & Onboarding

  • Identify and prioritize alternative e-commerce platforms across APAC.
  • Lead negotiations, secure listings, and drive onboarding of new platforms.
  • Develop and maintain a central onboarding playbook, tracker, and pipeline.

Account Management

  • Retain ownership of accounts post-onboarding; act as Key Account Manager.
  • Build strong relationships with platform contacts, ensuring smooth operations and growth.
  • Plan and execute campaigns/promotions with platform partners.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with SCM for stock and service levels, Data for reporting, Finance/Legal for contracts and terms, and Marketing for content/catalog readiness.
  • Ensure timely support and alignment with internal teams while maintaining ownership of external partner relationships.

Performance Delivery

  • Deliver GMV targets across onboarded platforms.
  • Track performance, provide regular updates, and proactively address issues.
  • Create visibility on pipeline and results through structured reporting.

Future Growth

  • Build foundations for the function to scale; potential to evolve into a Manager role with Account Managers under you as platform portfolio grows.
What we're looking for
  • 10+ years’ experience in e-commerce business development or account management.
  • Proven track record of onboarding and growing marketplace or digital commerce accounts.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of results.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia (written & spoken).
  • Excellent organizational skills — able to manage multiple partners and priorities.
  • Hands-on, operational mindset with the ability to create playbooks, trackers, and processes.
