The Operations Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plantation operations, including planning, planting, harvesting, workforce management, and compliance. This role requires strong leadership, practical field knowledge, and proven ability to run medium-scale plantation operations effectively.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage plantation operations across 4,000 hectares.
- Oversee daily activities: land preparation, planting, crop maintenance, harvesting, and estate upkeep.
- Supervise estate managers, assistants, and field staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor productivity, costs, and resource allocation to meet company targets.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and government regulations.
- Implement good agricultural practices and sustainability principles.
- Coordinate with management on budgeting, forecasting, and operational reporting.
- Build strong relationships with local stakeholders and communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Plantation Management, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum 12–15 years of plantation experience, including at least 5 years in a senior managerial role.
- Proven track record managing plantation areas of 3,000–5,000 hectares.
- Strong knowledge of plantation best practices, agronomy, and workforce management.
- Solid financial and operational planning skills, with a focus on cost control and efficiency.
- Effective leadership, communication, and people development skills.
- High integrity, discipline, and resilience.
- Willing to be placed full-time at the estate site in East Kalimantan.
