We are looking for "Director of Sales and Marketing"

Responsibilities
  • Develop the Annual Revenue Plan, Marketing Budgets, and Forecasts
  • Formulate an Action Plan linked to the Revenue Plan to ensure the achievement of its objectives
  • Provide professional advisory support to the General Manager
  • Coordinate all strategies for maintaining and enhancing business volume, including advertising, sales promotions, personal selling, publicity, community relations, and special sales projects
  • Design and implement special programs aimed at improving profitability through: Increasing average rates, Boosting overall occupancy, Enhancing business volume during off-peak periods, Growing local Food & Beverage and Banquet Sales, Improve the hotel's image within the local community, Engage actively in the community through memberships, associations, and other trade organizations
  • Regularly review activity reports from Sales and Marketing personnel to ensure that targets and sales goals are being achieved
  • Consistently evaluate internal promotional materials for visual appeal and compliance with brand standards
  • Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Department to organize and promote special initiatives that stimulate food and beverage sales in the community, such as tournaments, balls, parties, gastronomy festivals, etc
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including clients, Convention Bureaus, local Hotel Associations, Government Tourist offices, Airlines, Travel Agents, Tour Operators, competitors, and other community members
  • Investigate potential markets by: Reviewing correspondence files from the Sales Department and Front Office, Analyzing guest history and registration card files, Examining guest questionnaires, Reviewing government statistics on city visitors
  • Analyzing competitors' sales and promotion strategies
  • Consulting vareferenceserence and industry publications for sales opportunities
  • Advise the General Manager on the types of advertising that are likely to be most effective for the hotel by assessing the market impact of previous advertising campaigns and consulting with other Department Heads and the Advertising Agency
  • Secure new and repeat business for the hotel by maintaining relationships with Airlines, Travel Agencies, Commercial Houses, Private Clubs, and Professional Associations in the community and neighboring markets
  • Regularly assess Public Relations activities to ensure the hotel remains prominently featured in local and national media
  • Oversee the creation of new products and services
  • Supervise the formulation of innovative marketing strategies
  • Conduct market research
  • Ensure effective communication with Regional Sales and Marketing teams and implement corporate initiatives
  • Collaborate with Human Resources on manpower planning and management requirements
  • Work with the Director of Finance to prepare and manage the department's budget
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM) in a 5-star hotel
  • Have minimum 2 years experience as a Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM) in a 5-star hotel
  • Extensive expertise in both Corporate (local negotiated accounts and Corp Group) and Government sectors
  • Strong network connections with key accounts in feeder markets
  • Experienced in overseeing multiple departments, including Meetings & Events, Marketing Communications/Public Relations, and Room Sales
