Role Purpose
- Responsible for developing and managing accurate demand forecasts to support business planning and decision-making, this role ensures alignment among sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain functions to optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and improve customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Planning
- The Demand Planning Manager is accountable for building forecasts and providing performance measures (KPIs). This position facilitates the monthly demand review meeting.
- Review and challenge baseline numbers, marketing activity plans, aging stock, and potential write-offs from aging stock.
- Share the monthly IBP forecast with relevant parties as per corporate guidelines.
- Review confirmed supply and highlight any demand gaps to related stakeholders
- Monitor the fulfillment, delivery of orders, and availability of finished goods.
- Proactively highlight any (potential) demand and supply gaps to fulfill sales targets to related internal parties through the Weekly ITP Meeting and other available communication channels. Identify actions to manage risks, including any supply gaps due to significant changes in the demand plan.
Performance Management
- Communicate the IBP number to the Supply Planning Team to negotiate supply arrival and production priorities.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly demand and supply performance.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure they align with agreed targets.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in demand planning, supply chain management, inventory management, or a related field, preferably in the FMCG industry.
- Previous experience with forecasting models, statistical analysis, and demand planning tools/software (e.g., Anaplan).
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing demand planning processes in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of supply chain principles and demand forecasting methodologies.
- Experience in collaborating cross-functionally with various teams such as sales, marketing, operations, and finance to align forecasts and business strategy.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, proactively address issues, and ensure timely decision-making.
