Job summary

Responsible for end-to-end costing activities across business units, including complex manufacturing costing, financial modelling, profitability analysis, and cost projection. This role supports management decision‑making by providing accurate, analytical, and reliable cost insights while ensuring data integrity within SAP.

Job Description

Monitor, analyze, and control production costs, including raw materials, utilities, labor, overhead, and inventory across business units.

  • Handle complex and multi‑layered costing structures, including allocation of supporting units and cross‑department cost drivers.
  • Develop and maintain financial models for:
    • Cost projection & simulation
    • Budgeting and forecasting purposes
  • Prepare, review, and analyze:
    • Costing reports
    • Profitability and margin analysis
    • Actual vs budget variance analysis
  • Identify significant or unusual cost fluctuations and provide analytical insights and recommendations to management.
  • Manage and maintain costing‑related data and processes in SAP (FICO & costing module), including:
    • Period‑end costing closing
    • Standard cost updates
    • Cost estimates for new or modified products
    • COGM / COGS / inventory adjustments
  • Support pricing strategy by maintaining sales price databases and ensuring profitability compliance.
  • Act as PIC for costing data requested by internal stakeholders, auditors, consultants, and management.
  • Coordinate closely with Production, SCM, Accounting, and Sales to ensure costing accuracy and alignment with operations.
  • Support process improvement initiatives to strengthen costing governance, accuracy, and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in costing, FP&A, or manufacturing finance.
  • Strong hands‑on experience in manufacturing costing, preferably in heavy industry (steel, mining, energy, or similar).
  • Proven capability in financial modelling, including scenario analysis and cost simulation.
  • Experience handling complex costing structures (multi‑BU, utilities allocation, support units, inventory movement).
  • Solid knowledge of SAP FICO / SAP costing module.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate numbers into business insights.
  • Advanced Excel skills (modelling, formulas, analysis); experience with PowerPoint for management reporting.
  • Prior experience from Big‑4 audit/consulting or as a finance business partner is a strong advantage.
  • Good communication skills, detail‑oriented, structured, and able to work cross‑functionally.
