Job Description

I'm recruiting for a dynamic and results-driven Ad Sales Acquisition Manager to lead market expansion efforts in Indonesia with the following key responsibilities:

Market Entry & Business Development:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive market entry strategy for Indonesia, identifying key target advertisers, agencies, and industry verticals.
  • Proactively identify and prospect new business opportunities within the digital advertising landscape in Indonesia.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads through various channels including networking, cold outreach, industry events, and referrals.


Sales & Client Acquisition:
  • Lead the entire sales cycle from initial contact and needs assessment to proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure.
  • Articulate the value proposition of [Company Name]'s platform effectively to potential clients, demonstrating how our solutions address their marketing challenges and drive ROI.
  • Conduct compelling presentations and product demonstrations to key decision-makers.
  • Negotiate favourable terms and close complex sales deals.
  • Achieve and exceed new business revenue targets.


Relationship Building & Industry Presence:
  • Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including marketing directors, media buyers, agency principals, and C-level executives.
  • Represent [Company Name] at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build brand awareness and generate leads.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscapes, and market shifts within the Indonesian digital advertising space.


Collaboration & Reporting:
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams including marketing, product, and client success to ensure a seamless client experience and provide market feedback.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system.
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and market insights to leadership.

The Successful Applicant

A successful applicant should have:

  • 8+ years of experience in digital advertising sales, with a proven track record as an Acquisition Manager or similar new business development role.
  • Demonstrable experience specifically within the Indonesian digital advertising market is essential. Experience across the broader Southeast Asia region will be a significant advantage.
  • Strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, including programmatic advertising, search, social media advertising, video, mobile, and ad tech solutions.
  • Proven ability to open new markets, identify new business opportunities, and close complex sales deals.
  • Extensive network of contacts within the advertising agencies, brands, and media companies in Indonesia.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalise on market opportunities.
  • Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English (written and spoken) is required.
